Messier Objects

I have always wanted to see all of the Messier objects and when I purchased my Meade 12" LX200 GOTO telescope this dream now became a reality. First I started imaging using the 12" LX200, but I soon realised that you need different telescopes to appreciate these objects in their full beauty. e.g the Andromeda Galaxy (M31) in the 12" all you can see is the central core, but with the TV85 you can see almost all of the Galaxy.

When I first started out imaging it was suggested to me to practise my technique in black and white and then move onto colour. This is sound advice for the begineer because colour imaging is so much more difficult when using a colour filter wheel.

Over a period of about 18 months I imaged all of the Messier objects, although I am going back to redo many of them now that my technique have improved. I have split my images into black and white and colour, and here are some of them.
